My Teaching Process is as follows:
Are you new to the game or a seasoned veteran? Are you looking for a basic introduction to the game, comprehensive game improvement or a minor tune-up? No matter where you are on the learning curve, I have a lesson program that will help you improve your golf game!
My first consideration with every student is to gain an understanding of your playing history and aspirations. Every student is different. Different abilities, body types, swing motions, strengths and weaknesses. After discussing your goals and conducting a thorough video swing analysis, we will develop a plan.
Executing the plan is the key. The plan will include the drills and exercises necessary for speedy improvement.
My teaching philosophy is to keep the learning experience simple and fun. The simpler the better, one thing at a time. I would like to avoid the confusion and frustration that comes from over thinking. Sometimes, the more we think the more we stink!
We will focus primarily on the full swing, but also integrate the short game. My goal with every student is to develop a fundamentally sound and repeatable swing. A swing that produces good shots. Or at the least playable misses. We will also focus on developing feel and touch around the green. The game of golf is much more enjoyable when we have a reasonable degree of control.
The goal in golf is to be able to control the golf ball. Whoever controls their golf ball the best, wins! What tells the ball what to do? The answer is the club face at impact. Our purpose in these lessons is to develop a swing that achieves a quality impact. In other words the better the impact, the more likely you will produce consistent, predictable and repeatable shots. A quality impact is the result of a proper sequencing of body movement. This body movement is predicated on the development of good golf fundamentals in concert with a thorough understanding of the five laws of golf. What are the fundamentals? Well, there are pre-swing and in-swing fundamentals. The pre-swing fundamentals relate to a proper setup. In-swing fundamentals pertain to the actual swinging motion. The “Laws of Golf” are the scientific laws of physics relating to the properties of matter and energy.
Let me help you take your game to the next level!
